Bentworth is a charming village some four miles north-west of Alton and is reputed to be one of the highest points in Hampshire.

It is surrounded by several rural communities and includes  a number of buildings of interest. Parts of St Mary's church date from the twelfth century and a cutting from the original Holy Thorn of Glastonbury grows within its grounds. The village school, now over 150 years old, lies adjacent to the church.

Walnut Tree Barn lies on the edge of the village overlooking farmland and was lovingly reconstructed in 1992 retaining many of its original oak beams. The rustic exterior belies the country house comforts and modern conveniences within. Why not stay awhile and unwind in its peaceful atmosphere?

We look forward to welcoming you.
