Walnut Tree Barn
Walnut Tree Barn is a beautiful, dog-friendly holiday home nestled in the peaceful Mid Devon countryside, ideally located close to the market town of Crediton and within easy reach of the historic city of Exeter.
Sleeping up to nine guests, the barn offers four spacious en-suite double bedrooms, with additional sleeping space available with a Z-bed. Guests can enjoy a luxurious, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable dining and sitting areas, beautiful private gardens and a relaxing hot tub – making it the perfect setting for a countryside escape with family or friends.

Unwind in your own private hot tub, set within a walled garden with uninterrupted views over the surrounding Devon countryside. Whether it's a sunny afternoon soak or stargazing on a clear evening, the peaceful rural setting and open green fields beyond make this the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and soak up the tranquillity of your stay.
Kitchen
A stylish, contemporary kitchen designed with both luxury and entertaining in mind. The sleek handleless white cabinetry is complemented by a striking dark island, creating a sophisticated contrast.
The generous central island provides plenty of workspace and features six comfortable breakfast-bar stools, making it an ideal spot for morning coffee, casual dining or socialising while meals are prepared. Integrated appliances, modern lighting and a beautifully tiled splashback add to the kitchen's high-end finish.
Large skylights bring in plenty of natural light, while subtle under-cabinet and floor-level lighting create a warm, inviting atmosphere in the evening.

Sitting Room
A bright and inviting sitting room, perfect for winding down after a day exploring. A plush teal velvet corner sofa offers plenty of space to relax, complemented by a cosy armchair and a crackling open fire for chilly evenings. Vaulted ceilings with exposed beams add character, while large windows fill the room with natural light. Garden

Crediton
Nestled in the picturesque Creedy Valley, just ten miles from Exeter and within easy reach of both Dartmoor and Exmoor, Crediton is a charming and unpretentious Devon market town full of character. It's a proper Devon market town with a beautiful setting, independent stores and food producers, and a farmers' market held on the first and third Saturday of each month
Exeter
Just a short drive away, Devon's vibrant capital city of Exeter offers the perfect day out for guests wanting to blend history with modern city life. At its heart stands the magnificent Exeter Cathedral, a stunning Gothic masterpiece where visitors can relax afterwards on the sunny Cathedral Green or take a free Red Coat Guided Tour to uncover the city's fascinating past.
Down by the water, the Historic Quayside is one of the city's most charming spots, with independent shops, antique dealers, art studios, and riverside pubs and restaurants perfect for a relaxed afternoon.
Back in the centre, Exeter caters brilliantly to shoppers too, from the contemporary Princesshay shopping quarter to the cobbled, independent charm of Gandy Street. With excellent restaurants, a lively events calendar.
Coast
Just under 30 minutes away is Exmouth, with two miles of golden sand at the mouth of the Exe Estuary and the gateway to the UNESCO Jurassic Coast — perfect for watersports, paddleboarding, or simply strolling the seafront. Further along the East Devon coast, guests can explore the elegant regency town of Sidmouth, with its clean beaches and dramatic red cliffs, or the charming fishing village of Beer and pebbly Branscombe beach, both part of the Jurassic Coast's fossil-rich shoreline.
If North Devon's wilder coastline appeals, the award-winning Woolacombe Beach and surf haven of Croyde are also within driving distance, boasting miles of flat golden sand backed by dramatic dunes — a favourite for surfers and walkers alike.
Dartmoor
Dartmoor National Park is a short drive away and offers one of the most striking natural playgrounds in the country. This vast, unspoiled moorland is home to dramatic granite tors, ancient woodland, and free-roaming Dartmoor ponies that have grazed these hills for thousands of years.
Walkers are especially spoilt for choice — from an easy climb up the iconic Haytor Rocks for sweeping panoramic views, to wilder routes taking in tors like Sharpitor and Leather Tor. Fairytale spots such as the moss-draped Wistman's Wood feel like stepping into another world, while the ancient clapper bridges at Postbridge and the Bronze Age settlement of Grimspound offer a fascinating glimpse into the moor's deep history.
The charming village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor, with its "Cathedral of the Moor" church, tearooms, and craft markets, makes a lovely stop for lunch, while Burrator Reservoir provides a gentler, family-friendly walk through woodland with plenty of spots for a picnic.
